Preteen Safety

10–12 Years

Kids this age are spending more time on their own and more time outside of the home. While it’s important that they have their freedom, it’s also important to teach safe behaviors. Talk to them about what to do in a fire, how to be safe on their bike and in the car, the dangers of misusing medicine, and to be careful when in and around the pool.
