The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Safe Kids Worldwide join forces to remind caregivers of the dangers of heatstroke to children, especially when left unattended in vehicles during hot summer months. Young children are especially at risk, as their bodies heat up three to five times faster than adults.
Throughout the day, join us in raising awareness of heatstroke and taking steps to prevent serious injury or death to children. NSHTSA and Safe Kids Worldwide will be sharing important safety tips and urge you to spread the word as well. Together, we can keep children safe during the hot summer months. And remember, Kids can get heatstroke in just a few minutes. Never leave them in a hot car!
